This page is for a student organization started a few years ago at Ramapo for those of us interested in pursuing graduate law degrees.

One of the most common questions we tend to get is how to choose the right lawyer to represent you.  Choosing an attorney may seem like a daunting task, but after taking a few facts and feelings into consideration, you should be able to determine if you have found the correct attorney for your situation.

Once you meet person to person and have an opportunity to get a feel for the communication style, the law firm procedures, meaning who you will speak to when you have concerns, how many cases the attorney handles at a time and what the fees are and how they are expected to be paid. All this should give you a good feeling about whether or not you are comfortable with the attorney.
